On behalf of the Organising team, I would like to say a very big thanks
to all the volunteers who helped on the Philip White Tyres Ulster Rally
especially considering the very damp conditions on the second day of the
rally.
We are indebted for the commitment and enthusiasm of all who gave their
time. We appreciate the help from marshals, timekeepers, doctors, ambulance,
rescue, radio teams and everyone else involved.
We would like to extend our gratitude to any stage commander, marshal or
other official who took up their role on the Ulster Rally for the first
time.
A special thanks to all those dedicated folks who came out to help on both
days of the event, and who coped with little (or no) sleep in between.
We would express our appreciation to the landowners and residents along
the route for their welcome, co-operation and tolerance before, during and
after the event.
Finally, our thanks to Armagh City Hotel, Armagh City and District Council,
other associated sponsors and our headline sponsor Philip White Tyres for
all their support.
Many thanks to everyone who contributed to making this an enjoyable, challenging
and safe event.

Find out more about Marshalling
The first requirement that any rally needs to run are Marshals. You can
use the following link to find out more about Marshaling by clicking the
logo below.

Marshalling means more!
The top marshals from the Motorsport Marshalling Partnership have got to
experience more than their fair share of excitement in the last few months.
The Motorsport Marshalling Partnership was formed so that clubs could reward
marshals for their valued assistance throughout the year. Earlier this year,
Raymond Linton got the oppertunity to travel to the BRC shakedown day courtesy
of Peugeot. Raymond scored most points in the Motorsport Marshalling Partnership
scheme, and was joined by runners up Colm Creaney and Martin McCaffrey.
Included in the trip was an oppertunity to get a ride in the Alfa Romeo
kit car with leading British Rally championship contender Steve Hill.
But, it was not just the top 3 marshals that got rewarded. A further 10
marshals won a chance to have a go at rallying for themselves. They got
a day at the Superdrive rally school, where they could "play" in the ever
sideways mark 2 Escorts. With much enthusiasm, the marshals enjoyed the
trill of driving on the loose. However, one of the marshals, Shane McAleer
from Omagh got a bit more than he bargained for. Shane won a place in the
semi-final, and subsequently got through to the final of the Superdrive
competition to find a rally driver. The winner of the final gets the top
prize of an entry in a full stage rally using the Superdrive Mitsubushi
Lancer.
Marshals will be glad to know that they can still earn a reward for this
season. The top prizes this year are at Rally School Ireland and Superdrive.
But, it is not just the top marshals that benefit. Every marshal that assists
at qualifying events are guaranteed a polo shirt, team shirt and a top quality
waterproof suit (which are supplied with funding from 2&4 MSG).
So why not call 078 0876 2937 to find out more, whether you are currently
a marshal or not. Or log on to www.anicc.org.uk/mmp.
Spectator Safety Briefing
This Spectator
Safety Briefing link will open up a pdf copy of the same briefing as
used on the Fisher Foundation website.
This contains IMPORTANT information for spectators so that
you can enjoy the event as much as the competitors could if they knew that
everyone is helping with the safety of the event. It has been laid out in
a one page format so that you can easily print it out and take it with you.
